Measuring at 50 MHz, the difference in loss / 100 feet is about 0.4dB for the 2 cables.  Make it a 1/4 section at 80 meters and you're near 0.1 dB difference in loss.  Good luck making meaningful measurements.

Yeah I know. But if the loss difference is low that tells me something too. I
also have some 3/4 wave new RG6 made up I can use to compare to some new RG11.

Well between the RG-6 & RG-11 you know which coax will have lower loss. And
unless you collected trusted data 20 years ago on the old RG-6 you really will not
know if you just had crappy coax and connectors from the start or if something
changed over the years.

I am now curious. I assume a good test would be to measure the loss of my 20+
year old 1/4 wave RG6 feedlines for my 80M 4-sq on 3.5 and then make up an RG11
1/4 wave and see how the loss compares. Will do that over the next couple of
weeks.

Important: Most RG-6/RG-11 is copper clad steel (CCS). Make sure you DON'T nick or
cut the thin copper layer when prepping for connectors or you'll be transmitting
through steel coax..."
It doesn’t take much of a nick either to later find a build-up of rust
particles when opening up an unsealed F connector. For the last two years, I've been
purchasing 1,000 ft rolls of Belden 1829BC from Markertek. Price is approx. USD $150
per roll. It's gel-flooded RG6 with a solid copper inner conductor and works well
with old and new SNS compression connectors like the new PPC EX6XLSPlus I mentioned
earlier. A solid copper inner has the added advantage of lower voltage drop when used
in DC power-passing applications on extended runs.
