I have had this problem as well. Its usually a bad braid to connector - through oxidation or temp cycling over time. Hanging on by a thread and the RF affects the connection. Never shows bad on transmit but affects the receiver. You have to drop in some jumpers to isolate it and when you get down to a few connections, just replace them by cutting back the coax and starting fresh.
