Some OT trivia but that is where the term "B-Line" came from.......you
run you ASSets in a straight line as fast as you can away from a swarm
of bees coming at you.
BTW, I have had plenty of experience with different types of bee sprays
and the only one that I found that really and honestly can shoot a good
solid stream is a fresh (new) hot can of Raid's "Yard Guard" bee spray.
All the other bee "bomb" and sprays were good to only 10-12 feet at
best. Spend the extra $3 for the Raid product and just keep spraying the
nest until can is empty then high tail it out of the area for an hour
then repeat if required.

Alternatively, which is more eco friendly, if they are not actually
causing any problem just leave them there, Hornets rarely forage
within their own territory and will keep other Hornets and wasps out
of the area. It is very unlikely that you will ever be stung by your
Hornets unless you do anything silly.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Hornet Nest on the End of the Boom - How do you
safely get rid of this?
This is a first at my station.... a large Hornet Nest on the end of
the Boom of my lowest Hygain 105CA (5L 10 meter Yagi) on my 100’ Rohn
45 tower.
The nest is located on the underside of the end of the boom (24’
long) and 1st director, which puts the nest about 12‘ from the center
of the tower and 23’ above ground.
Does anyone have any experience successfully dealing with this
situation? I would appreciate learning how you killed the hornets
and got rid of the nest without getting hurt or doing anything
dangerous.
