Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] TX-455, etc
I am not growing younger, unfortunately, I am beginning to think of
downsizing. I have a perfectly good TX-455, with the raising feature, and
an expensive mast. (And also a HAM-IV rotator.) What is a reasonable
price to ask for it? I am not looking for the very top dollar, but I do
not want to give it away. I am located near Poughkeepsie, NY, and my
driveway is not far from the tower.
What prompted me to do something about downsizing (and growing older!) is
my SteppIR (3 element with 40m trombone) died. (It is probably the driven
element MHU.) I do not use it all that much, and I started weighing the
hassle of repairing it vs downsizing the whole thing.
