Which raises an interesting (at least to me) question.  My 160M inverted L has 16 ~50-foot on-the-ground radials, insulated except at the ends.  I run 1.5 KW.  Are those radials dangerous, if someone were to handle them while I am transmitting, or does the close proximity to the ground tend to dissipate the voltage somehow.
