It's been assaulting New England for many years now despite our climate. It is mind-boggling how fast it grown in any kind of weather (drought is irrelevant - it grows almost as fast, and the thickness of the vines and ability to grow in clusters, which make it self-supporting vertically to several feet high) make it unstoppable. You have to tear it out from the roots and that is hard even with BOTH hands. And then you must dispose of it immediately in its own trash bag. If you don't do these things it will absolutely overrun whatever land it occupies and kill everything off. A true predator - the only thing that grows as well is Poison Ivy/Sumac/Oak. It's unfortunate that it can't raised as a cash crop. LOL!
