Right! The Loos gauges are no doubt not so precise, but they are quite
adequate for amateur use and a LOT cheaper - I bet that PTII meter is a
couple thou.

Having only owned self-standing crankup towers, my only experience is
the stand-alone towers of hams I know. Never seen a tension-meter used,
but may have just missed this aspect of the tower build.
Are devices like their tension meter used commonly in guyed amateur
tower construction?
