Nice try Rob....
LDF 4.5 was a real thing. It was larger than LDF 4, and smaller than
LDF 5. Thus the number LDF 4.5
Had a new jail that was installed with thousands of feet of this stuff
in the form of Radiax.

LDF4-75 is a real thing too.

I think W9AC is on to somethng WRT the Z of the line. 75 ohm, like
LDF4-75. BTW Andrew AFAIK made LDF4-50 and LDF5-50 but I never heard
of this LDF4.5 stuff. Is that just some ham's invention?
Connectors: If you are only using the line for 40 m. and lower you
don't really need connectors if you are terminating the line in WX
proof enclosures, such as an indoor antenna tuner on one end and a box
at the base of a monopole at the other end. You can just expose the
outer and inner conductors and strap or solder usable copper leads
like strap or bare AWG14 copper wire to the cable and go from there or
effect some other convenient hardware transition. The Z bump on the
low bands isn't enough to worry about. You really only need to worry
about connectors at VHF.
