K7XC Multi-Op - June 2002 - VHF QSO Party
Depending on the results of my upcoming survey of contest sites,
we'll make the final determination as to exactly where our Multi-Op
group will operate from in the upcoming June VHF QSO Party.
It will be either DM19, DM27, DM28, or DM29. Snow pack, Road
Conditions, site access, and receive noise levels will be the primary
factors influencing our choice. Right now I'm leaning towards
Mt Wilson in DM28.
Planned so far is a 2 man Multi-Limited with the following equipment...
50 Mhz - IC746, KW amp, 6 ele & 4 ele yagis, Heavy Use of CW on 50.100.
144 mhz - FT847 - KW amp - 2 x 18xxx atop 50' tower trailer, HSCW & WSJT
222 Mhz - IC706mkIIg, DEM xvtr, 140W Brick, 9wl M2 yagi, Lots of CW
432 Mhz - IC706mkIIg, 110W Brick, 2 x 9wl M2 Yagis, Lots of CW
I'll man the 50 Mhz station while Dave will handle 144, 222, and 432 Mhz.
I highly encourage any HSCW, WSJT, & EME op's plus anyone interested
in trying long haul TROPO to contact Dave directly; w7kk@aol.com for
skeds.
Getting down to the wire, Less than 45 days left to prepare....
