I respectfully disagree. My COMPUTER has gathered the information, I
personally did not. Other then setting up the computer, TNC and radio I did
nothing ACTIVELY to gather this information. I could be out getting a cup
of coffee, and this information would be waiting for me just like being
attached to the Cluster.

Yes, I agree DIRECT TWO-WAY communication is fine. PASSIVE receive is like
having another operator tuning the band for mults!

>PacketCluster will repeat your information thus re-broadcasting it,
>routing it to other Packet Nodes which may in turn re-broadcast it to
>other Packet Nodes until the information reaches the final destination.
>Packet Cluster has the ability to route a message where CU2QSO does not.
>PacketCluster will also handle the message traffic automatically where
>CU2QSO is a manual operation and you must personally answer the CQ call.

I am not disputing the actual QSO aspect of this, just the ASSISTANCE
aspect. The COMPUTER becomes the other operator in the shack tuning for
mults on another radio like a multi-op station.

>It is no different than my calling CQ via FSK441 (the WSJT Meteor Scatter
>mode) and having someone answer my CQ back. I may even try it in Sept.

Again, I disagree. You must interact with the station to send CQ and make
the QSO!
