VHF Enthusiasts:
Reflector chatter seems to be picking up for the CQ World-Wide VHF Contest this
weekend, starting at 1800Z Saturday, July 17 and ending at 2100Z Sunday, July
18. Plan to participate in this world-wide 6- and 2-meter contest. The rules
are in the June issue of CQ and are on the CQ website www.cq-amateur-radio.com.
Certificates for winners in the 2003 contest have been mailed and I've received
e-mail confirmation that many of you have already received yours. Starting
with the 2004 contest, very nice 9 x 12 walnut engraved plaques will be offered
to winners in sponsored categories. A digital image of the plaque appears in
the VHF column of July CQ. Some sponsors have already stepped forward....but
more are needed. If you, your club, or radio business would like to sponsor
one of these plaques, please go to the CQ website for further information.
