Hello from NORTH CENTRAL Maine, contesters...
I plead guilty as charged! I'm one of those Mainers who was
shamefully AWOL during the 222 Sprint... and the 2m Sprint... and
the September VHF! It sounds like activity was a bit thin up here.
My apologies for not being around to hand out FN55. My mind said
"Let's do it!" but the body apparently didn't think so.
The good news is this years' tower project is taking shape nicely,
despite a late start and it being a one man operation from clearing
snarly forest to digging holes to mixing concrete to erecting tower.
I'll see you all in January. By then 6m should have moved from its
current height of 30 feet to its new home at 100 feet. Hopefully
well before then, as I don't plan on doing it during a blizzard this
time (did that when the 2m & 222 antennas went up)... and I should
have more energy for operating!
