Regarding Ver 4 of the proposed new VHF+ contest rules...

An interesting read but very flawed and should never be supported by ANYONE.

Disallowing EME contacts while allowing MS contacts smacks of jealously and
Discrimination towards EME capable stations!

There is no need for that kind of bigotry in any contest, and I wont abide by
it!

The other aspects of the proposal would invigorate the bands as people became
interested again in VHF Contesting, save for the rediculous idea to exclude
EME! The contests are here to encourage activity, not squash a selected segment
of propagation modes!

This is aimed squarely at Marshall - K5QE and his commitment to use EME on all
bands during a contest because where he lives he can't be competitive without
it. I have been to his station and it is very impressive!

If you move forward with banning EME from the event, I  will do everything in
my power to organize a boycott of all future ARRL VHF contests as their being
unjustly biased, again...

Same as when the league squashed the ORIGINAL rover rules over 20 years ago to
appease a few East coast clubs, forever ruining the contest for those out west.
Overnight Western Rover activity just disappeared.

What a short sighted prejudiced thing to do, THEN AND NOW!
