Thanks for the reply. I was reading:
STTN.6. All equipment should be capable of communications at a range
of at least 5 km. Contacts made between non-fixed stations, for
example portable and/or rover stations, should be made over a distance
of at least 5 km.
Thanks for the note about the links. I had expected that both links
saying "Click Here for Complete ARRL June VHF Contest Rules (PDF)"
would point to the same place.
I do appreciate the reply.
