I spent some time today building the cables needed to use my sound
board as a voice keyer. The headset mic goes to the mic in on the
sound board. The line out goes through an isolation transformer back
to the radio. A PTT circuit was built to allow both a LPT port enabled
PTT with the voice keyer or a footswitch enabled PTT. Everything seems
to be working as it should with one exception. After playing a voice
keyer memory the Mic input on the sound board stays muted. So if I
push the footswitch the radio goes into transmit mode but no audio
reaches it. I would have expected that the mic input to be unmuted
as the last step after playing a voice keyer memory. Note that before
sending the voice keyer memory the sound board audio system worked fine.
Audio from the mic went into it and back out to the radio. I must be
missing something here. Can anyone help?
By the way:
* Sound Board = Creative Sound Blaster 16 Plug&Play
* Driver Date = 5-26-97
* ?Allow Full Duplex? checked
* SBRDCHK score = 7F
