Hi Doug
Radio Shack probably can cure your problem again.
Most likely their clip-on ferrite core (available like $2 for 2 pcs ?) at PC
end will solve unwanted RF generated from PC in the shack.

Subject: [WriteLog] Computer hash using computer for CW over parallel port
Not being able to locate a 4N33 in Colorado Springs, I constructed the
2N2222
circuit for keying my rig from pins 1, 17, and 18 of the parallel port.
Works FB, but I am picking up hash from computer, bad enough that my (low
signal strength) beverages are almost unusable. If I unplug the the circuit
from the key line, the hash is very much reduced.
My circuit is exactly as appears in the Writelog help file consisting of
just
two parts, a 1000 ohm resistor and the 2N2222. Pin 17 connects to the base
of the transistor thru the 1000 ohm resistor; pin one connects to the
emitter; and pin 18, ground, plus the 2N222 collector, connect to the key
plug.
Any ideas on how to reduce the hash. I've spent some time looking at the
archives, but haven't found an answer there.
Will changing to the serial port keying have bebefit?
I'm already for the 160M Test tomorrow and need to hear with those
beverages!
