No, XP will not run DOS programs. There is a command line
interface with DOS like commands which is useful at times, and
provides a few advanced command line utilities that aren't
available elsewhere. But, basically DOS is now ancient history.
I'm not sure what Tony meant by converting a "file" to ADIF
format. I don't know of anything that will do that. Most loggers
will import and export ADIF so that data can usually be exchanged
between logging programs. WriteLog will export ADIF so you can
load the basic contact fields of your contest logs into your
general purpose logger.
