[WriteLog] call queue (ALT C) use?

I wonder if anyone has found the call queue (ALT C) useful in RTTY?
Can the call queue window just be kept open, and it will add calls on the 
fly? Are non-worked calls dropped from the box after a certain amount 
of time or after a certain number of calls are listed?
