Hello Kelly, this seems to be a special problem of Yaesu-radios. Even the FT-1000MP has it. There are two jacks for the straight key or a paddle. But they are exactly parallel. So I have to use an external iambic keyer and to deactivate the internal one. The TS-570D for example has two jacks also, but one for a straight key and one for a paddle. And that works good. Before I would be missunderstood, the FT-1000MP is the better radio! 73 + 55 Wolf, DL6JZ |
