OK - makes sense to me... i see if i had
multiple 706's and a real ci-v then i
would have a new problem. I'll just leave
my mk2g set to 0x48 and problem solved.

By the way, i just built a mini board
with both a cw keyer interface and a CI-V
interface. Now i just need to find some
type of enclosure for the board. I have
two mono 3.5" connectors (one for cw jack
and one for ci-v remote) and then one db9
serial for rig control and finally a db25
parallel for lpt keying (winxp with userport).
