Sure. The dominant mechanism for unintended detection is the square law
response of a semiconductor junction. Over the last year or so, I've
done considerable research on RFI into audio systems, and published the
results in some AES papers (www.aes.org). For all of the products I've
tested, square law response dominates below the point of findamental
overload (i.e., driving an input into clip). When that happens, the
stage gets re-biased by rectification, becomes unstable (i.e., can
oscillate), and may even stop working as an amplifier (desense).
