Rick,
This is a common problem with importing (preloading)
the exchange. As you guessed, WL is finicky about the
tags. For Sweeps, the correct tags are <P:1> and
<CK:2>.
A sure-fire way to find what tags WL wants, is to
create a sample log for the contest in question, enter
a fake QSO, then export to an ADIF file. Open the
ADIF file in any text editor and you will see tags WL
uses.
See below for an example of the ADIF file from
SS-Phone.
