1)It's NOT twice the bloat - particularly for Win7
2)More modern UI
3)That dreaded UAC does a lot to prevent trojans - it's the equivalent of the 
Unix SU - and they made it a better in Win7
4)The drivers don't run in ring 0, so if a driver crashed, it does NOT take 
down the system.  Something like 75% of all XP blue screens come from 3rd party 
driver issues
5)(if running 64 bit) - access to memory above 3 gig
6)Win7 LIBRARIES
7)The dialog boxes (with the tree) make finding things a lot easier
8)Built in desktop search (this is huge)
