Hi Jerry
Thanks for the comments.
Yes, the idea is to use split mode for SO2V operation with the Flex-3000, in
a similar fashion to the K3 SO2V implementation.
I have tried using the K3 rig driver as suggested. This party works - the
two WriteLog entry windows synch with VFOs A and B correctly, and moving the
focus from the first entry window to the second one activates split mode,
but moving back from the second entry window to the first one fails to
deactivate split mode.
So it seems that the K3 implementations does not translate accurately to the
the Flex-3000 radio, or I have overlooked a parameter somewhere in the setup
of the radio or WriteLog.

Brian,
I have finally gotten my Flex 5000A to work with Writelog and a microHAM
mk2R+ SO2R Controller for casual dxing on two bands.
It is not a contest-grade setup for RTTY with the 5000A because of internal
crosstalk between the two Receivers.
But the Flex 3000 only has 1 receiver doesn't it? So where is the 2nd VFO?
Ah, the transmit VFO. So we are talking in-band use of the two VFOs?? As in
SPLIT mode. I am just guessing since my Flex is the 5000.
You might take a look at the Elcraft K3 rig driver. It is very close to what
you might want for in-band (run and multiplier setup) and allows two radios
to be set up on the same port for CAT.
I have much information on my trials. I can get back to you after the WPX if
you need.
Jerry, W6IHG
