I use the Winkeyer potentiometer to set the speed, I have not used the PgUp
PgDn method in years.

I have the same problem. The CW speed was reset to the speed of the Winkeyer.
There is a checkbox in Writelog under CW to "ignore Winkeyer speed pot."
I hope this helps

There is not enough information in your post. What are you using for an
interface - how are you generating CW?

I'm running Writelog 12.08E.
Half way through the CQWW I experienced a strange behavior. I would send
CQ at
say 34 wpm and randomly the CW speed would drop to 25. PGUP would increase
the
speed but as soon as I left the PGUP key, the CW Speed would drop again but
maybe to 27 wpm.
A later restart of Writelog seemed to correct the issue.
Any ideas?
