The simulator is mostly used as a running tool, but it is also an S&P tool.
The "Search & Pounce stations" setting determines the number of stations
that will call you. The "CQing station" setting determines the number of
stations that are calling CQ elsewhere on the band. If you are just doing
pileup simulation, this number should be zero.
If it is non-zero, then if you tune through the band using the mousewheel to
change frequency, you will come across stations calling CQ. For
traditional SO2R, you can CQ on one radio, and tune for stations on the
other. Likewise, you can do SO2V. You can call a few CQ's, swap VFO's (but
stay on the same band) and tune a few Khz for a station to work, and then
switch VFO's back and call CQ again.
If "CQing stations" is non zero, you can end up with someone CQing on your
run frequency.
I am not sure why the stations stop calling. Like I said, if you work a
bunch of stations very quickly, the number of callers will slow down,
including unanswered CQ's, but I have never seen the callers stop.

Subject: SV: [WriteLog] Contest Simulator gets flooded?? Bad conditions? :)
Hi Tom,
Thanks for the assistance. Yes the S&P was at level 2. But then I altered it
to level 4 and I could go on for a while but run out of stations on the
other band again. I am running SO2R, Run mode 2 and 2 Keyboards with KB1 on
3550 kHz and KB2 on 7050 kHz. I have not figured out what S&P means when
running So2R and Runmode 2 with alternating CW. Or is it just the other
channel???
The runmode is awesome but as you said earlier Tom one need to practice : )
I intend to use this on CW WPX soon.

IN the simulator, what is the setting for "Search and Pounce Stations?" WL
uses this number to determine how many stations will call in over a period
of time. If you work them all at the beginning, then the callers will drop
off. However, I have never seen the callers drop to zero for any length of
time. The "search and pounce stations" should be at least 3.
Do you have the messages window open, this may give a hint if there is some
type of problem.
Are both radios on the same band?

Hi!
I have tested the WL and its CSS latest version with Runmode in SO2R mode.
For some time and some 20 QSO:s it works very well but after that the CSS
stops producing stations to work. You may call CQ forever but nil. Like it
gets flooded. How to cope with this?
I hope it is not bad conditions or artificial intelligence of the software
that influence the software to go in this mode :)
