[Yaesu] YAESU FT-990 Stuck in Transmit Update

I guess I should have mentioned that all the usual things like mic, mox,
vox, resets, have been tried.
This is an internal problem,  could the back up battery cause this?
When I turn it on it switches into transmit and stays there.
If anyone had this problem before please let me know the cause,  Thank
