This was the third year operating from Tom's excellent station, this time back
to single op category. Conditions were generally good although not up to the
wonderful experience of 2009. I think that our south eastern USA results from
the last three years would echo W4ZV's comments expressed in his summary.
There were some excellent runs into EU interspersed with frequency battles in
this overcrowded band. Only about 40 JA's made it into the log with a peak
each morning at sunrise where all of the signals that needed fills became
totally Q5. Unfortunately this lasted only around 10-15 minutes. Once again I
missed VK & ZL and was listening constantly in this direction so I probably
missed JT5DX as a result who spotted W4AN at 1200Z.

The total multiplier count was down from the last two years even though I spent
a significant amount of time tuning the band with the second receiver. The
openings were more regional into Europe and worked only several RX9 Asiatic
types. Missed CX, LU, T7 and others who were active. Worked A73A and then EA6
at the end of the EU run on Saturday night for new ones.

Thanks to W8JI again for hosting his station and for all of the enjoyable Q's.

Jim, VE7ZO
