For ham use and not pushing ratings, "home-made" chimneys are fine. Just bear in mind that the Eimac chimneys are specially shaped to divert air to the anode cap to keep air moving through the fins.

A 2:1 unun transformer will work fine here; just like the ones Alpha supplied with their 77DX to SX conversion kit. That is an understatement! Under-sized wire compounded by small winding diameter.
