Why? For what reason? 73 Jim _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more. Call Toll Free,
The whole antenna is importand, don´t forget ground losses. Back in the 60:ties people was thinking that a Inv V was better then a dipole, atleast I know better know! 73 Jim -- ________________
Sorry, should be "I know better now", Too fast fingers! 73 Jim -- _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Statio
True ofcourse, but every dB counts, atleast in my book. If I don´t have to give away dB´s I´m not going to either. 73 SM2EKM -- _______________________________________________ See:
Sorry but SteppIR is also a compromise antenna!!! 73 Jim -- _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", a
I know that! However by reading what many people writes about the SteppIR it´s easy to get the impression that there is absolutley no compromise with that antenna. 73 Jim SM2EKM -- ____________
I can testify to this too. At 66 degs north latitude propagation on 160 never got very good during CQWW CW but I spent most of the time on 160 just to look for new countries. LPL was the strongest US
Yes when you watch SpongeBob a little "box" will pop up in the upper left corner, just click on the box and the JP2000 will be downloaded, however you have to have special firmware installed in your
You can always order from Japan. http://www.luso-sn.com/ http://www.radiocraft.co.jp/luso-tower.html Crankups as big as 144 ft 73 Jim -- _______________________________________________ ______________

Yes it looks like a slanted vertical hung off the top of the tower. I´ve seen them do like this in Sweden so it isn´t uncommon I guess. 73 Jim SM2EKM _____________________________________
Well could be ofcourse. My guess is still a slanted vertical for something else. In any case, interesting to speculate a bit, one of the these days we will solve this case I´m sure. ___________
Yes but if it´s a slant-wire reflector why make it like a cage? , personaly I see no need. IMO if it´s a radiator (i e slanted-vertical) I can see why they would make it like a cage. 73 J
At the base one can see the feed, some open wire line. I can´t see the far end of the slant-wire so don´t know what´s at that end. 73 SM2EKM -- _____________________________________
We have since a long time ago established what it is, and it isn´t what G3OIT thinks so you are both wrong. Just look back in the archive. Now, on to the next subject. 73 SM2EKM -- ____________
That´s what I´ve done in SM2 land for over 35 years, great I haven´t been wrong, ofcourse that´s what the result also has showed me. 73 Jim SM2EKM -- _________________________
Beats me why they didn´t post to the list. Why have a list if answers doesn´t get posted to it, Oh well guess I have to live with not understanding. /SM2EKM -- ___________________________
No no, these days there are even auto tuners. People never have to use the brain. Just string any old piece of wire out and of you go. Ooooh, I forget, you get someone to do it for you. Sorry I could
I wouldn´t call it a beast. You can look at this picture, the second one from the top is a 40m dipole, the whole 80ft tower rotates. http://sk3w.shacknet.nu/sm2ekm/view_photo.php?set_albumName=
However can also been done a lot simpler forexample with a "Hardy disc". /SM2EKM -- _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing l
