After reading the reviews on E Ham, why would anyone buy one of these amps? Don't give me that @#%& about a good value for the buck, $1200 is a lot of money for an amp that has an E Ham rating of 3.8

A friend of mine is building up a 3CX3000A7 amp and asked me what the input impedance is. Seems that I used 50 ohms when I built mine but I'm not sure. The Eimac tech sheet says a 3x3 running in AB2

The same socket is used for the 4CX1000A and the 4CX1500B(p/n SK800B). The 4CX1500A uses a different socket(SK831). Increasing the screen voltage does wonders for output. That is how owners of the 30

I just spoke with Eimac and they are going to research the SK-800A socket. It has a 1964 date code so maybe it was replaced by the 800B. They promised to get back to me. Helpful folks. ______________
