Back when I repaired window air conditioners I used a spray can product called brake cleaner to clean the bearings or shaft. Then I sprayed boat motor fogging oil in the bearing while it was running.

OK I have removed the bare neutral ground wire from the jack. It makes no difference considering they paralleled each other the whole length. I looked at the 41 page article as suggested.  Really, 41
