I dont have the manuals handy but Id suspect that 15A ceramic fuses are sufficient on a 240VAC line. I use 12A in 1200W output amps. Carl KM1H _______________________________________________ Amps mai

Well, limiting may be a limiting factor; pardon the pun. Since I'm going to be using some audio processing and negative peak limiting my average power will be up a fair amount. Im also going to be bo

It certainly does complicate things. Modulation transformers are constructed differently also so they can function with that DC in both windings. Im going to have to dig out my ancient Terman and oth

Load resistors are usually Carborundum (trade name) or similar and come in a wide range of values and wattages. They are pricey new but do show up on Ebay and flea markets once in awhile. Bring an Oh

That was Carl who wrote that. As you may know, the Carborundums are fragile being not much more than powdered carbon granules molded and held together by some bonding agent. I used a Dremel cut-off d

As one forum member pointed out 50KW BCB water cooled dummy loads use nichrome elements with a fixed cap to cancel the reactance. That is not a "narrow range". Measuring a true non inductive resistor

Youre missing the point; again. I said BCB, not one frequency. The loads covered up to 1500 KHz or so and above that the cap had to be changed. I see no reason why an inductive resistor cant be used

Mouser has them at a bit over $9 in single qty. Go to the Caddock page, click on distributors and then Mouser. Scroll down to the value/wattage you want. Or maybe just go to Mouser and type Caddock.
