Since Canada is metric, I can give you an easy to remember conversion. One inch has 25.4 mm - for mental math, call it 25 mm. 1"/25mm = 0.40" per mm. Or, I mm is "40 thou". Your decimal is off by one

Actually, they do make Smith charts with 50 ohm centers. I had a stack of them here until they were used up. The charts with the "1.0" centers I think are in wider use because they're not restricted
