You need to read Eimac document SK-300A Air System Socket. It will give you the socket and chimney for the 4-400A among other tubes. You need the SK-406 chimney. Lowering the socket a bit is okay but

You can go ahead and beat on a single 3-500 like that every day and I guarantee you'll be getting a new one in around 5 years. Especially if you operate high duty cycle or with a lot of compression.
