I don't see any repeaters in Friedrichshafen proper. http://www.cqdmrmap.com/ Closest are DM0KV in Konstanz and DB0RV near Ravensburg which I guess is not that far. They are affiliated with DMR+. Inc

I have the big one like what they had at 6Y1V. It is not made anymore. It is 70ft across straight elements. Full sized on 40. The DB42 is called the MonstIR but it's not the actual, original MonstIR.

I get the impression that SteppIR viewed it as going past the point of diminishing returns. They could get almost the performance with much less wind loads using the trombone elements, thus the DB-36
