I have the 43P kit, and it does indeed work about as you indicate. Use an external power supply for it, though, the thing goes through 9v batteries (two at a time!) like water through a sieve. WB2WIK

Don't forget that to measure VSWR, you need a slug for "reflected" reading that's several times more sensitive than the one used for "forward" power. If you're a Bird user, you already knew that...!
