The Omni6 ssb rx audio always goes through the dsp circuit which steeply rolls off all audio below 260hz. No matter what you do, you're not going to get much low freq ssb rx audio out of the Omni6 re

A couple of thoughts. First, the later VI's do have some surface mount boards. Second, the internal speaker is lousy and can be buzzy. Same issue for the PS speaker. I use the roofing filters for CW
