- Hello all. A few months ago I found an old Mosley CL-36-M six element tribander atop a local tower. The owner said that I'm free to have the beam if I take it down. It has been atop the tower for 20+

- Did you attach NEW coax before making the measurements? Coax, after 20 years, will exhibit some terrible impedance characteristics! Second possibility .. those traps might have lots of insect nests i

- Damaged feedline (water ingress likely) and oxidized joints in the aluminum tubing. In that order. It can't be that complex, it doesn't even have a microprocessor..... Yes, shows the traps are OK. 1

- High SWR *everywhere* is the classic symptom of something bad in the feedline; i.e. coax, balun, connector, or weatherproofing. A 20 year old Mosley is sort of an iffy proposition in the first place.

- How about a gamma match? Feedline is isolated from a 'physical connection' by the gamma capacitor. In the 'Mosley match' .. this is a similar situation .. the 'coax without the braid' acts like a gam
