About 39 hours. (Really more like 43, but with a few unexpected breaks =
of 30 to 45 minutes during prime times.)
Station: TS-850S, 1 kW amplifier
Antennas: 4-element tribander at 100 ft, 40-meter dipole at 95 feet,
80-meter groundplane, 160-meter inverted L
Interesting contest--conditions were nothing at all like CQWW CW! (Duh.)
I felt like I was hearing well on the low bands, but since I still =
haven't reeled out the Beverage, I know I missed some stuff when I was =
CQing there. CQing on 80 has never been as productive for me as it was =
this weekend!
Lows: Fruitless efforts to work PJ9C and P49V with 15 minutes to go on =
10 meters; a *very* lame 15 meters; no Asia to speak of on 80 or 160, =
though I did hear a few JAs.
Highs: 1200 and 1300Z on Saturday--146 and 130 Qs, respectively, on 20;
good rates at most other times on 20; better 80-meter results than CQWW; =
N5KO having fun in the contest with his new antennas.
In this contest more than ever I wanted that second radio/amplifier and =
the rest of the 40-2CD in the air! The second radio would have helped me =
make something of the only decent 15-meter opening, which I missed.
