Conditions the first 12 hours were great. Then the minor
storm sent our ops to the napping mode. Between 1600z the first
day to 0300z the second day only 297 contacts were made. It was
interesting to see 65% of our contacts were outside of North
America. Many to multiplier rich EU. But the downside to that
is we missed alot of mults out of the USA. This made our pts/qso
much higher than normal. We never worked a single EU on 40m this
year! It will be nice to see 15m open again in the next few
years for the never ending JA's. I recall working NN5AA (K5NA)
on 10m. The only other W station worked off the west coast was
KO7X on 10m. Perhaps at the peak of the cycle they will be the
first to bust our 10m pileups?:)
Tnx for all the fun and all the Qsos.
73,
Joe
