Thanks to all for a great experience working the PA QSO Party.
This was my first real serious effort and will be my first actual entry.
XYL was busy working and running all weekend so had perfect scenario,
except two non-driving teenage daughters who needed shuttled between
activities on Saturday. But still managed probably 18 hours of
operation.
>From Westmoreland (Murrysville) with 100W and an AP8A vertical, I managed
to work 62 counties. Missed Bedford, Cambria, Somerset, Venango and
Clarion. Spent 95 per cent of my time on CW. Should have put up a
dipole for the short-hop stuff, and will do that next year (live in a
subdivision with limited antenna space).
Great operators, especially on CW. Everyone very patient and very
polite.
I was shooting for KA3WSW record in Westmoreland, but fell a little
short.
Makes me appreciate how hard it is!
