Geomag disturbances produced some unusual propagation patterns on 10m,
including some nice enhancements, but I suffered relatively from the
rather northerly location here in G. Difficult to work much north of
the east-west line. A little USA plus CY0, FP, VE early (12z) on
Sunday. Only got a fragment of the good Eu to US opening on Sunday but
this included one burst of about 50 stns in 15 mins. Nothing at all
from the Far East (VK6 best in that direction) which hit the mults
total. Also some Carribean mults surprisingly tough to work - several
zone 8 stations ploughing through stateside pile-ups late on Sunday
unaware of the European damaging his vocal chords on their frequency!
S Europe and Africa good both days, S. America good on Sunday with
band open there almost to the end of the contest.
