I thought that a flux of 98 would provide better
15M conditions for the East Coast, but I never
could get any good 15M runs going. 10M had some
short, but good openings. In the first hour CA & WA
(but no OR) was there. Later there was a good
opening to the Northeast. Just like in the 10M
contest, the GA & FL boys got it a lot better than
me, but I was able to move several NE stations to
10M for mults. As usual 20M didn't really produce
until near closing time. Did a better job of
going to 40M early. Man it was good until it
went long. I sat on 7.193 for a long time with
little QRM except for about 1.5 KHz up some DXers
working a CE (I think split). And yes, I was
there long before the DXers started calling the CE.
80M & 160M were not as good as during NAQP CW. The
local noise was higher and signals seemed down.
The guys in the SW seemed to be having noise problems
also. I called several loud TX stations on 160M and
just got CQs.

CYA in SSB Sprint.
