"Soap box":
Our 160m operator almost swallowed his tongue when, out of the blue, he
suddenly heard a loud B1A on 1830 kHz and, immediately thereafter an
even louder V8A calling B1A and only a second after that, AH2R also
calling B1A. Disappointingly, all managed to disappear quickly so he
wasn't able to call them but once with no luck. The time was about 1515
Z, some 20 minutes past our sunrise.
A humble plea to the Far-Eastern stations:
there is a VERY good chance for a QSO with Finland on 80 and 160
meters in the cw-leg at around 1350 Z!
Anyway, the CQWW 1998 SSB was great fun again, and we certainly
hope to hear you all joining us in the "Paksalo Polka" during
CQWW CW, too! ;-)
And hey! - For your convenience, we will from now on sign
OH2U - the "OH to you" - in all major contests! ;-)
