Soap:I had planned a very serious effort, being in the chair 40-46 hours.I
wanted to break 2 million points, which would be a major chore for a phone
op. All was going great as I started running JA's on 10m. About one hour
into the contest,the phone rang and my wife got the first of four TVI
complaints.I was running 1500 watts at the time,and of course turned the
power down to about 400 watts. This really changed my outlook on the
contest as I was planning to run at least 20 hours.I ended up only running
6 hours and doing alot of S&P.
This is why I almost always run low power.I am still happy with the results
and this was a personal best.I only operated for 37 hours as the neighbors
got the best of me.This was my first time running the Alpha 87a with the
Top Ten switches...This stuff is Great !!. Looking forward to the 10m
