RAC Winter Contest.
RAW score:
899,756pts
121 multipliers
1493 Q's
CW=427
SSB=1066
Most fun I have ever had in either of the RAC tests, no doubt in part
to being able to use CT9.38(beta), which worked fairly well. (didn't
like "CG" prefixes-hiccup, crash!-Ken will fix that)
Worked all bands/modes from 2m to 160m.
High points: working ve8 and vy1 with only smidgens of time left in
contest. Working ve2zp on meteor scatter 6m,10m,15m, (hrd on 2m but
just no QSO) late at night when hardly a sound on the higher bands.
Low points: no vy1ja! No 2m prop in VE1/VY2, ve9rac has no 6m gear!
Stupid mistakes: Smoked matching network on 80m inverted L while
calling ve2zp with 1kW of "40m" rf. DOH! Therefore, no real 80m
antenna for duration of test.......
Without all those "59 001" QSO's this would be a dull n' boring test.
Thanks guys!
:-)
