Comments: Beat last year's score running 5 watts instead of 100, thanks in
part to amazing band conditions both nights. (The new rules probably also
helped.) Working A45XR, SU9ZZ, E4/OK5DX, TA3D, TZ6DX, JU1T, JY9NX, JY9QX,
YB1AQS, and ZM1A (on 40) was a surprise. The best indicator of whether a
station was workable was his signal strength, even on 40 meters where many EU
stations sounded like locals. Many thanks to those who sent "?" or "NR?"
numerous times. In all but a few cases their patience eventually paid off.
Also thanks to members of the Society of Midwest Contesters for helpful advice
ahead of time.

Jon WO9S
