IC751 + 500 Watt PA for 80/40 meter
Fun:
High (600W hi) Power made a different compared to 70-80 Watt in WPX.
I did get resonable rate on CQ, peaking 82.
Truble:
The smoke went out of my 500W homemade 4*IRFP450 PA with a "poff"
The antenna realy had a hard to find bad connetion on the recive part
(spend a lot of time to find it)
The antenna rotator did stop at north after half time and did not move
any more.
(I wonder if the smoke went out or what)
Changed my old 80m GP to 160m so I could work some QSO's there.
Conditions great on 20 and 15 but 10 was not much here in SM2 (64
degrees North)
The low bands was also suffering from summer conditions.
