First time in a contest with my Elecraft K2 rig. What a hoot! Was amazed that I
could break so many pile ups with QRP (5-watts). Ran off an old car battery
which was down to 10.7 volts by end of contest. Worked all continents except
Africa, which I never heard. Man, that K2 rig is really hot; great filters and
very sensitive. No trouble with strong signals near the band pass.
Why do I always seem to miss South Carolina in these contests?
